VEG - DHOKLA (IN A MICROWAVE)
ORDINARILY THIS IS AN ITEM THAT IS RATHER DIFFICULT TO MAKE
BUT IN A TUPPERWARE MICROWAVE DISH - MAKING IT IS A PIECE OF CAKE. TUPPERWARE HAS SOME AMAZING CONTAINERS FOR USE IN THE MICROWAVE WHICH HAVE BEEN PROVED TO BE SAFE. EVEN MAKING A CAKE IN MINUTES IS SO EASY THESE DAYS. OF COURSE YOU CANNOT USE THE BROWNING FACILITY AS THAT WOULD SPOIL THE CONTAINERS......... AS THE MICROWAVE WOULD THEN COME ON THE CONVENTIONAL MODE.
MAKING BOTH IS SO EASY THAT YOU WILL NEVER EVER WANT TO MAKE IT ANY OTHER WAY AGAIN. ALSO ITS A SUPER HEALTHY SNACK AND QUITE FILLING TOO.
100 GMS BENGAL GRAM FLOUR
20 GMS SEMOLINA
25 GMS CURD
1/4 TEASPOON MUSTARD SEEDS
3 GREEN CHILLIES
1 TEASPOON CURRY LEAVES
1 TABLESPOON GRATED COCONUT
100 ML WATER
1 TEASPOON OIL
1/4 TEASPOON SUGAR
ENO'S FRUIT SALTS - 1 POUCH
MIX THE GRAM FLOUR AND SEMOLINA AND ADD THE CURD TO MAKE A THICK BATTER. ADD A PINCH OF SALT. ADD ENO AND LET IT STAND FOR 10/15 MINUTES.
POUR IN A ROCK N SERVE MICROWAVE TUP CONTAINER AND MICROWAVE FOR 4/5 MINUTES ON HIGH.
WARM THE OIL AND ADD THE MUSTARD SEEDS , CURRY LEAVES, GREEN CHILLIES AND THE COCONUT. STIR AND ADD WATER ALONG WITH SUGAR. POUR OVER THE DHOKLA AND SERVE.
