10 slices white or wholewheat bread
25 gms butter
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
100 gms cleaned and chopped prawns
50 gms gruyere cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (from the cut trimmings)
salt and paprika
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
Take a fluted round doughnut cutter and cut two rounds from each slice. Melt the butter with the thyme and aplly on the bread rounds.
Take a bowl and put in the chopped prawns, mayonnaise, cheese breadcrumbs, salt and paprika. Spoon some of this mixture onto each bread round till used up. Bake in an oven till the bread is golden,
about 10 minutes. Will make approx 20.
