A seed inside its outer covering is a whole seed. These seeds are called whole foods or living foods as they contain, within them, all the nutrients to grow a new plant........hence a new life.
In Bangalore, where I live, we are blessed with a myriad varieties of them growing right round the year. You need to incorporate them as much as possible into your daily diet, either raw as sprouts or cooked as a lentil. One important tip to remember when you cook them is......wash them in ordinary water but soak them in clean water which you must then use to cook the item in. The soaking water is full of vitamins and minerals etc.......which you might otherwise lose the benefit of if thrown away. It is also important to remember ......that after cooking ,the important
nutrients of the cooked item will be in its gravy........and this fact is true of anything you cook.
