Berry Pulao

1 lb Meat bite size pieces
2 C Basmati rice
4 finely chopped Onions
10-15 chopped Cashew nuts
10-15 chopped Almonds
2 tbsp Ghee/butter
2 tsp Berries(I like Cranberries)
1 tsp Ginger paste
1 tsp Garlic paste
1 tsp Cayenne powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
4-5 Cloves
3-4 Cardamoms
Fried onions for garnishing
Salt to taste.

Melt the ghee in a pan and fry the onions until lightly brown.
Add the cardamom and cloves, saute until fragrant.
Add the turmeric powder and coriander powder, saute for a minute.
Add the meat and brown it all over and cook over low heat with 1/2 cup water until the meat is tender.
Add the salt, stir well and remove from the heat.
In another pan, boil water with salt, 2 cloves and cardamoms.
Add the rice in boiling water and cook until done.
Keep the berries soak in water.
Fry the berries and cashews in the ghee and add to the rice.
Add the ghee to the rice and simmer for 1/2 hour.
Place a layer of rice on the plate and spread the mutton over it and sprinkle the rice..Garnish with fried onions and nuts. 

You may make kababs and use it in place of Meat. Recipe remains the same
