1/2 kg boneless chicken, cut into thin strips
2 dry red chillies
2 teaspoons ginger / garlic paste
1 finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/2 cup pine (chilgoza) nuts
1/2 cup black currants
a few mint leaves
1 tablespoon oil (olive oil is good)

Place the oil in a pan (if using olive oil do not pre-heat; simply add the oil, chillies and chopped onion and put on the flame). When lightly brown add the ginger/garlic  and cook for a few minutes.Add the chicken strips and dry masalas and fry for about 7/8 minutes. Add the pine nuts, Add a half cup of water , the black currants and mint leaves. Serve with a plain pulao or rotis.
