COOKIES - THIN ROSEWATER
225 GMS CASTER SUGAR
225 GMS BUTTER (UNSALTED)
300 GMS PLAIN FLOUR
1 TABLESPOON SINGLE CREAM
1 EGG
A PINCH OF SALT
1 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 TABLESPOON ROSEWATER
(a little sugar for sprinkling if you so desire) Makes abt 60
Heat the oven to Gas Mark 5.(190C 375F)
In a flat dish soften the butter in a microwave. Add the other ingredients till you have a firm dough. Shape the dough into a roll on some butter paper and chill. When chilled slice very thinly on baking sheets lined with greaseproof paper. Keep a kittle gap between the cookies as they will definitely spread. (IF DESIRED SPRINKLE NOW WITH A LITTLE CASTER SUGAR) In order to cut calories especially sugar and fat calories I would definitely skip this.
They will start turning brown around the edges in about 10 minutes which means that they are done. They will be very light and crunchy.
